The club size, its parking, its people, their food, their DJ, their bar, the cleanliness, and the staff were all many levels above other clubs we've attended. Favorite Place to Swing in DFW Even before we moved to the DFW area, we were traveling 5 hours to go to this club. It's one of our favorites. The hosts are wonderful and the volunteers are great. We highly recommend it. We were newbies to the 13th Floor during Memorial Day weekend and loved it so much we went back on Sunday. We've been to several other places in and around Dallas and have finally found one we're willing to go back to. We should have listened to our friends and not the other club owners. To that point, no one at the 13th Floor had anything bad to say about the other clubs we mentioned when we brought up that we had been to them. This is a lesson in grace that the other operators should learn. We got in free at one club early on a Friday, but soon after we arrived followed two other couples to the 13th Floor. Glad they called to get us on the list because we barely made the newbie cut-off time. The staff were friendly and genuinely concerned with us having a good time. We never felt threatened by the location and felt confident in the secluded parking. The DJ even walked me to my car at 3am. The music was great and the food which we never expected was delicious. We have been to several other clubs - all before trying the 13th Floor because of one couple's opinion. We won't knock the other clubs, but NONE of them match the energy and true party atmosphere the 13th Floor has. If we had been to the 13th Floor sooner, we would have had the favorable view of the lifestyle that we currently enjoy MUCH sooner. Found that the new location was a dramatic decline from the original venue and they had grossly overbooked the place to the point you couldn't even find a spot to sit a drink down. When we arrived we very happily found that the new owners have really spruced the place up, added lighting, murals and it sounded like the sound system had been redone. The owners spared no expense in decorations and food and the staff were well prepared for the VERY large crowd. The costumes were excellent and the people were friendly and spirited. It was a very large crowd. If you're thinking of visiting the 13th Floor and you don't like large crowds, I recommend you don't go on a theme party weekend. We've been on a Friday, a regular Saturday, and now a themed Saturday and they were all great parties. The Floor has a great staff - very friendly and attentive. Well in this club it can as well depending on your attitude and personality. Don't be aggressive with the couples at this club. Not to say stare, but watch and have a good time most of all watching beautiful women dance. I have been going to the club for a short time now. We were very hesitant about attending the 13th Floor due the reviews about overweight and older couples. Well we attended last Friday and it yes it was true there were some older and bigger couples but there was also an equal amount of younger 30's-40's and HWP couples. It was also a great turnout for a Friday night about 30-40 couples. Everything was decent, clean and everyone was friendly. Also liked the fact that when you meet someone you like you can get right down to business. Lets face if you have kids like us you don't get out often so when you do you want to make the most of it. Play rooms are not completely private but unlike AM and IQ after spending a lot on the entry fee you don't need to rent a hotel room to have some fun. First Visit - Not the Last We're new to the lifestyle and had visited three other clubs in the Dallas area before seeing the Thirteenth Floor last Saturday night. One club was a seedy bar in downtown Dallas with fewer than a dozen people - most of whom were single guys chained to the bar. One was a nice old house south of Dallas, but the guests and overwhelming number of single guys creeped us out. Honestly, we were about to give up on clubs and parties and we are so glad we didn't. The Thirteenth Floor is a nice mix of all the above. It's a house, but it's the biggest house we've ever been in and it is arranged to function as a really cool club. It was clean, had a sense of privacy away from any neighbors, didn't have excessive single guys trolling around, and the food was excellent. We ate at a local restaurant before we went, but couldn't pass up the buffet. They should emphasize the free buffet when they call. The crowd was diverse and friendly and the people who worked there seemed to be a part of the party - not just staff who were on the clock. We didn't encounter any aggressive, bitchy or petty people. The club provides a safe, friendly environment in which to meet a diverse group of people. Some of our best friendships began here and we continue to make new friends every weekend. March 27th was no exception. The New Paris Room is to die for. The DJ that night was dead on. He played exactly what he needed to play, and the hard rock toward the end of the night was awesome! Friendly crowd, nice buffet spread, killer dance floor, and plenty of play action.
